Our team is dedicated to providing expert care for patients suffering from gastrointestinal symptoms.

Our in-office theatre is designed to prioritize patient safety, quality care, comfort and convenience in a professional environment.

The majority of our standard procedures are performed in our spacious practice room theatre which is furnished with the highest standard endoscopy equipment and patient after care.

If advanced interventional procedures are required, our state-of-the art hospital facilities in the Netcare Unitas Hospital Gastroenterology Unit can be used.

Because we understand that undergoing a procedure can be intimidating and stressful, we offer a relaxed sleep (sedation) during the procedure, performed and monitored by an anesthetist to minimize any unpleasant moments or discomfort.

As a team our goal is to provide personalized and professional care. We want to cure, give support, assist in managing your symptoms and improve your quality of life.

ABOUT DR J REICHENBERGER
SPECIALIST PHYSICIAN & GASTROENTEROLOGIST

Dr Reichenberger is an experienced Specialist Physician and Gastroenterologist.

He attended medical school in Frankfurt and Munich in Germany.

He was trained for advanced endoscopic procedures at the well-known Technical University of Munich Klinikum rechts der Isar in Germany between 1995 and 2007 where he specialised in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.

His career includes academic and hospital roles, notably at Technical University Munich.

Dr Reichenberger has been practicing at Netcare Unitas Hospital in Pretoria since 2008. With over 30 years of medical experience across South Africa and Germany, he brings exceptional clinical insight and international recognition to patient care.

He is a member of the World Endoscopy Organization’s Education Committee and co-directs international training programs in endoscopy. Committed to excellence in education, he leads hands-on medical courses and presents internationally on advanced gastroenterological procedures.

He collaborates with the German, Swiss, and US Embassies to provide the best medical care for the relevant international communities in South Africa.
